Electric vehicles (EVs) and modes of electric transportation are growing exponentially due to competitive pricing and technology improvements. EVs also have the potential to bring widespread health and environmental benefits through improving the air we breathe. Join us on May 21st to learn about benefits, incentives, and programs for EV ownership, as well as the current local efforts grounding the electrification revolution.
Check out a variety of electric modes of transportation and talk with EV experts at the upcoming EVs for Equity Event. A variety of electric vehicles will be on display including Nissan Leaf, Kia Niro, Tesla Model S, Mitsubishi Outlander and one the new CATS EV buses. Attendees will also have the option to walk down to the PoleVolt charging station at the Ritz at Washington Heights for an EV charging demonstration offered at 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm.

Attendees can park at 1415 Beatties Ford Rd where there will be numerous vendors including students and professors from Central Piedmont Community College's Automotive Department, which has programming focused on providing the skills necessary for job placement in the electric vehicle sector. Attendees can also learn about the Historic West End Green District initiative and the growth of EV infrastructure in the Historic West End, including the latest PoleVolt technology.
